Via Salutis: Journal of Wesleyan-Arminian Studies welcomes original research articles, literature reviews, and critical theological reflections in the fields of Christian Theology, Biblical Studies, and Christian Education. Authors are expected to follow the guidelines below to ensure a smooth editorial and peer-review process.
1. Types of Manuscripts
The journal accepts:
Original research articles (empirical or literature-based).
Literature reviews and theological syntheses.
Critical and reflective studies on contemporary issues.
Conceptual papers related to theology and Christian education.
2. Originality
Submitted manuscripts must:
Be original and free from plagiarism.
Not have been published or submitted elsewhere.
Present a clear scholarly contribution and demonstrate novelty.
3. Language and Writing Style
Manuscripts may be written in proper Indonesian or academic English.
Use clear, systematic, and scholarly language.
Avoid ambiguous terminology.
Foreign terms should be written in italic.
4. Article Structure
Each manuscript should include:
Title
Maximum 15 words (Indonesian) or 12 words (English).
Author Information
Full name without academic titles.
Institutional affiliation and country.
Corresponding author's email.
Abstract and Keywords
Maximum 250 words.
Should include background, objective, method, results, and conclusion.
Provide 3–5 relevant keywords.
Main Text
Introduction
Literature Review (if applicable)
Research Method
Results and Discussion
Conclusion and Recommendations
References
Minimum of 15 primary references.
At least 80% published within the last 10 years.
Follow APA Style (7th Edition).

6. Figures and Tables
Number all figures and tables consecutively.
Provide captions and sources where applicable.
Insert them within the manuscript near the related text.
7. Citations and References
Use APA Style (7th Edition).
Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
8. Submission Process
Manuscripts should be submitted through the OJS platform or the editorial email.
Authors must complete all required metadata.
Every submission undergoes an initial editorial screening.
9. Peer Review Process
Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
The journal applies a double-blind peer review system.
The review process generally takes 2–4 weeks.
Editorial decisions include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.
10. Revision and Editing
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to reviewers' comments. The editorial board may perform minor language and formatting edits without altering the scientific content.
11. Publication Ethics
Authors must:
Avoid plagiarism.
Properly acknowledge all sources.
Refrain from submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.
