Publication Ethics

Via Salutis: Scientific Journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. All published articles must adhere to the principles of transparency, accuracy, originality, fairness, and accountability in accordance with the international guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

1. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are expected to:

  • Ensure that the submitted manuscript is original and has not been previously published or submitted to another journal.
  • Properly acknowledge all sources of data, quotations, and references in accordance with academic standards.
  • Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and duplicate publication.
  • Clearly state the contribution of each author when a manuscript has multiple authors.
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence the research or publication.
  • Revise the manuscript responsibly based on comments from editors and reviewers.

2. Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

  • Conducting the manuscript evaluation process objectively, fairly, transparently, and independently.
  • Assessing manuscripts solely on their academic merit without discrimination.
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of all editorial processes, including the identities of authors and reviewers.
  • Avoiding conflicts of interest involving authors, reviewers, or other parties.
  • Making the final decision regarding manuscript acceptance or rejection based on the peer-review process.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Evaluate manuscripts objectively, professionally, and within the agreed review period.
  • Provide constructive feedback to improve the scientific quality of the manuscript.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript and refrain from using unpublished information for personal benefit.
  • Identify potential plagiarism, duplicate publication, or significant methodological weaknesses.
  • Decline the review assignment if any conflict of interest exists.

4. Responsibilities of the Publisher

The Publisher is committed to:

  • Maintaining the quality of publications in accordance with international academic standards.
  • Ensuring that the publication process is conducted fairly, transparently, and independently.
  • Providing clear publication ethics guidelines for authors, editors, and reviewers.
  • Respecting the privacy of all parties involved in the publication process.
  • Protecting academic integrity by taking appropriate action against ethical misconduct.

5. Ethical Misconduct and Malpractice Policy

The journal will investigate all allegations of publication misconduct, including:

  • Plagiarism and duplicate publication.
  • Data fabrication or falsification.
  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest.
  • Copyright infringement.

If misconduct is confirmed, the journal reserves the right to:

  • Reject or retract the published article.
  • Notify the corresponding author and affiliated institution.
  • Publish corrections or formal retraction notices when necessary.

6. Plagiarism Policy

All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 24% will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected in accordance with the journal's editorial policy.
