Open Access Policy

Via Salutis: Journal of Wesleyan-Arminian Studies is committed to the principles of Open Access to promote the widest possible dissemination of scholarly knowledge. All published articles are freely available to read, download, copy, print, distribute, and share without financial or technical barriers, provided that the terms of the journal's license are respected.

1. Open Access Philosophy

The journal believes that scholarly research should be freely accessible to everyone in order to advance knowledge and support education and ministry. Through its Open Access policy, the journal aims to:

  • Increase the dissemination of high-quality scholarly research.
  • Encourage academic collaboration across institutions and countries.
  • Support the advancement of theology, education, and community engagement through unrestricted access to scientific knowledge.

2. Copyright and Licensing

  • All published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
  • This license allows users to:
    • Read and download articles.
    • Copy, share, and redistribute the published content.
    • Adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the material.
  • Appropriate credit must always be given to the original author(s) and the journal.
  • Copyright remains with the author(s), while the journal receives the right to publish and distribute the work.

3. Use and Distribution

Users are permitted to:

  • Cite part or all of an article with proper attribution.
  • Use published articles for research, teaching, educational, and other scholarly purposes.
  • Redistribute articles in print or electronic formats.
  • Translate or adapt published content, provided that appropriate attribution is given.

4. Publication Fees

To support editorial management and publication services, the journal charges:

  • Article Processing Charge (APC): IDR 150,000 for manuscripts accepted for publication.

There is no Submission Fee, and all published articles are freely accessible to readers without subscription charges.

The APC may be reviewed and adjusted in the future in accordance with the journal's development and editorial policies.

5. Digital Preservation

To ensure the long-term accessibility of published content, the journal strives to:

  • Archive all published articles through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
  • Integrate with digital preservation services such as LOCKSS and the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) whenever available.
  • Assign a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to every published article to ensure persistent identification and citation.

6. Authors' Rights

Authors retain full copyright of their published work and may:

  • Deposit the final published version in institutional repositories.
  • Archive the article on personal websites.
  • Deposit the work in national or international repositories.
  • Share the published article through academic networking platforms such as ResearchGate and Academia.edu.

There are no restrictions on the dissemination of published articles, provided that the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license are observed and appropriate attribution is given.
